What is the European Academic Coworking Network?

The European Academic Coworking Network (EACN) is one of the four objectives of the Erasmus+ project "Cowork4EU: Coworking Best Practices for European Universities". The EACN aims to give European university coworking spaces the opportunity to join a network of other university coworking spaces in order to promote exchange and collaboration between coworking spaces, students, researchers, and startups. With the EACN, users of university coworking spaces have the opportunity to book a workspace at any EACN member space.

In addition, coworkers are able to search for EACN member spaces via an online platform or app.  With the help of the online platform, they are able to gain information on spaces' offers, opening hours, addresses, and contact details as well as book a desk via a digital reservation system. Thus, the EACN is intended to function similarly to the principle of Eduroam, the global, intra-university wifi network. The use and membership of the network are free of charge for the coworking spaces as well as for students, scientists, and startups.

The Cowork4EU team would be very happy if you and your space are interested in joining the EACN! Feel free to use the pre-registration form below to sign up to receive regular updates and information on the EACN! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jonah Weisswange (jonah.weisswange@tu-dortmund.de) or Dr. Marko Orel (marko.orel@vse.cz).
